The site for this proposed development currently consists of a 3-storey house with a large walled garden extending to the side and rear. The site is bound on either side by existing houses with rear gardens, and to the rear by the Loughrea moat, with commercial units and car park beyond.
We wanted to develop a proposal that would offer a low density development of high quality apartments, which would be designed with sustainability and community as the primary goals. These motivators would require that the development be designed in such a way as to allow for a diverse range of end-users, including families with young children, and which would encourage longer-term occupation.
